This is a series of 6 coaching workshops looking at life after a diagnosis of primary breast cancer.
Starting over Zoom Thursday 2, 16, 30 September. 14, 28 October
& 11 November 2021
Now more than ever we are bombarded with messages to ‘be more resilient.’ Life is increasingly challenging in the current climate; 'be more resilient – again’.
As a cancer patient, perhaps people told you to ‘be strong,’ or ‘stay positive.’ When I had my own breast cancer diagnosis, people said things to me like, ‘what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger,’ along with helpful phrases like ‘it’s a good one to get,’ and as my hair grew back, ‘all done now, are you having a party?’
You can feel like a failure, that you are ‘not coping,’ and that life will never be the same again.
We have put this series of workshops together, combining personal and professional experience with practical ideas and support within a coaching environment.
Group coaching combines the benefits of working with a coach, with the personal experience and support of a peer group. Over the weeks we will explore issues including confidence, relationships and goal setting, alongside practical tools for wellbeing and self-care. We will move together from ‘where I am now,’ to
‘where I want to be.’
Numbers are limited, and places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, with further dates to be confirmed. To find out more or book your place use our booking form, putting ‘Resilience’ in the subject field.
Tracey (Pebbled Shores) has many years’ experience working with people living with and beyond breast cancer. This follows her own diagnosis as a younger woman in 2010. Resilience, identity and dealing with loss are all themes of her work, and she is passionate about people receiving the support and reassurance they need to move on after a cancer diagnosis.
Tracey brings her personal and professional experience together with her coaching skills to enable clarity and sustainable
change.
Vicky (Rezest) has been working as a doctor for 27 years mostly as a GP within the NHS. She's passionate about helping people to make the most of their physical and mental health.
She feels coaching is an amazing tool to help people find clarity and achieve the goals they set for themselves.
GP consultations are often constrained by time and other factors and she is really excited to be able to work in a more holistic and empowering way.
